Fabric Flower Hair Clip Class

Hello Rochester, Minnesota Friends,

I am wanting teach some sewing classes this summer for kids 8 and up and/or adults, on how to make hand sewn flower hair clips (or you can add the flowers onto other projects). The classes would be 1 to 2 hours long. I will charge $5 per person and that will include supplies to make up to 3 hair clips and then $1 for each hair clip after that. I am still deciding on a location. Maybe in the Hobby Lobby classroom or if someone wants to volunteer their home, I could give you a discount. I can do a big group class or smaller groups. Or if you have something specific in mind, like a baby shower activity I am open to that as well. I have other styles of flowers and bows as well, that I can teach. The great thing about this project is I provide all of the supplies (I have an excessive amount of supplies, so plenty of variety), and you don't need to go to the store for supplies.

I would like to know if you are interested in this and what times work best. I am fairly flexible over the summer with my schedule.

These flowers look complicated but the are actually a lot simpler than they look. My kids have been making them since they were about 8 years old, they just can't make every style. This is a great project for learning how to sew by hand and they are very quick.

Winter Projects

Christmas Bulletin Board
I made new tree skirt for our Christmas tree.

Fall Bulletin Board
I forgot to take a picture of this so I took a screenshot of my silhouette file that I created. It came out way cuter than this.

Spring 2015 Projects

 New hair clips.

My daughter was baptized this past spring. In our church we don't get baptized until we are 8 years old. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I made her baptism dress.
